Role Overview-

The role holder would be responsible to formulate and establish the annual budgets, produce regular forecasts, reporting and analysis, planning, and financial modelling that show the expected future performance of the business through multiple stakeholder management. The role holder would also be responsible for finance & accounting; ensuring compliance of statutes & company policies; overseeing banking transactions, treasury, and foreign exchange transactions etc. to minimize financial risks and enhance ROI for the organization.


Roles & Responsibilities:

Strategy

Providing direction to achieve the desired long-term and short-term objectives


  • Drive reporting on all aspects of financial management & accounting and provide inputs for financial decisions related to the organization’s short- and long-term strategy
  • Formulate financial objectives for Trident and lead the annual financial planning and budgeting process, in coordination with all other businesses and functions
  • Drive the creation of systems and processes related to financial reporting, AP/AR, in line with the agreed accounting practices
  • Oversee management of cash flow, debt collections, Inventory level, and track extension of credit line to partners
  • Recommend strategies to raise funds (in India or abroad) and hedge risks with an objective to reduce interest costs and ensure adequate liquidity for the business.


Operations

Executing the strategies to achieve the business goals

  • Supervise the finance team and oversee timely preparation of financial statements, balance sheets, P & L account, payables and receivables, and other financial reports as per accounting standards
  • Monitor monthly cash flows, adherence to budgets and ensure optimum utilization of Trident’s financial resources
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive controls framework to identify, assess, and mitigate risks across the business sectors.
  • Oversee and drive regular risk assessments and internal audits to identify control gaps and recommend corrective actions
  • Supervise cost analysis initiatives and suggest cost control measures
  • Supervise efficient tax planning in keeping with the regulatory requirements, and ensure timely assessment and filing of direct and indirect tax returns

  • EBITDA
  • Cash conversion cycle (cash to cash cycle) - DPO, DSO, DIO
  • Days to close
  • Free cash flow
  • Audit and regulatory compliance / IA observations or non-compliances
  • Finance attrition rate



Roles Requirements:

Qualifications

  • CA is a must.
  • MBA in finance from a top-tier B-school

  • The ability to think strategically and align financial goals with the organization's overall strategic objectives
  • Strong leadership skills are essential for overseeing finance teams across multiple subsidiaries or business units.
  • Identifying and mitigating financial risks
  • Efficiently managing capital allocation, including debt and equity financing
  • Staying up to date with financial regulations and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and tax laws is vital.
