What You'll Build

As a Product Lead, you'll
own the technical roadmap and product pipeline
for advanced flight systems. You'll work across
aerodynamics, structures, avionics, and systems integration
, guiding a small, focused team to take concepts from
design → prototype → flight testing
.

This is a
hands-on leadership role
where you'll decide
what to build first, what in parallel
, and ensure engineering decisions line up with product goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define the
    product development roadmap
    for aerial systems.
  • Break down projects into
    sequenced phases
    and set priorities.
  • Lead
    system-level integration
    across structures, aerodynamics, avionics, and control.
  • Guide
    structural and aerodynamic analysis
    (loads, drag, stability, thermal).
  • Oversee
    design reviews, documentation, and testing protocols
    .
  • Support
    flight testing, data review, and iterative improvements
    .
  • Mentor and manage engineers, shaping the
    technical culture
    of the team.

Core Technical Expertise

High-Speed Aerodynamics & Flight Dynamics

  • Strong grasp of
    airflow behavior, drag, lift, stability, and control
    .
  • Experience with
    CFD tools, wing/airframe optimization, and vortex/flow analysis
    .
  • Familiar with
    wind tunnel and flight testing methods
    .

Structures & Materials

  • Expertise in
    structural analysis
    (loads, vibration, fatigue, thermal effects).
  • Knowledge of
    composite materials and alloys
    , selected for
    load, pressure, and temperature conditions
    .
  • Experience with
    landing gear, suspension, and stress testing
    .

Flight Avionics & Electronics

  • Hands-on with
    control units, flight controllers, PCBs, and embedded systems
    .
  • Familiar with
    sensors (GPS, IMU, RF modules, cameras)
    and data links.
  • Understanding of
    system reliability and redundancy in avionics
    .

Manufacturing & Production

  • Knowledge of
    composite manufacturing, carbon fiber, and lightweight structures
    .
  • Experience with
    3D printing and rapid prototyping
    for aerospace.
  • Familiar with
    manufacturing standards and iterative hardware development
    .

Systems Engineering & Documentation

  • Experience in
    system-level design and integration
    .
  • Skilled at
    technical documentation, safety standards, and certification processes
    .
  • Exposure to
    adaptive control systems and alternative navigation methods
    .

Preferred Background

  • B.Tech/M.Tech in Aerospace, Mechanical, Avionics, or related fields.
  • 7–12 years of experience in aerospace, UAVs, or defense systems.
  • Hands-on experience with
    flight-ready hardware and testing campaigns
    .
  • Proven ability to
    lead small teams and manage multi-disciplinary projects
    .
