Responsibilities
Technology Ecosystem:
Birds eye view of the technology one will be exposed to in role.Front-End:Ansible/OctopusBack End:PythonArchitect:Apache,Kafka,RedpandaCloud:AzurePrimary duties will include:Contribute in design, understanding the architectural tradeoffs including Scalability, Resiliency, High Availability, Storage and Security Perform capacity planning and solution review related to the Messaging and Streaming environment.Adopt and promote modern automated “Self Service” paradigmsPerform proof-of-concept work for new tools and componentsTurn proof-of-concept work into Production grade systemsProvide end-user support to Dev teams and implement change requestsPrioritize across various tasks, manage changes in daily workloadConcisely document instructions, user guides and policies in Confluence or in source controlGuide fellow engineers on stack standards and efficient utilizationThis role includes out of office hours support rotaProviding support for our US based workloads. This position demands ability to adapt to US time zone work schedule.
Qualifications
To land this role you will need
:Proven history of implementation, configuration, and support of a modern Messaging platform and their ecosystems (RH AMQ, ActiveMQ Artemis, IBM MQ, Solace)Proven history of implementation, configuration, and support of a modern Streaming platform and their ecosystems (Apache Kafka, RedPanda, Apache Pulsar)Ability to use programming languages (e.g. Python, PowerShell) to create production-grade APIs and integrationsWorking knowledge of Linux environmentExperience with GIT, CI and CDWillingness to learn and adopt to innovative technologiesEffective communication and interpersonal skills. Forward thinking, self-starter, able to work independentlyUniversity / College bachelor level (or equivalent) degreeWhat makes you stand out:Configuration Management / Deployment tools such as Ansible, OctopusExperience with Cloud Providers (preferably Azure)GitOps, CI / CD mindsetNetworking knowledgeKubernetes and Helm KnowledgeAnsible / Configuration as a CodeWillingness to learn and adopt to innovative technologies
