About the TeamSearch Algorithms team builds low latency and high throughput scalable Services that will help customers Search and Browse to find products they are looking for in any channel. This team also supports the Store applications to power Search and Discovery of products. Availability at 99.999999% is highly critical for this team to make Sales happen round the clock.
Job SummaryThe primary purpose of this role is to translate business requirements and functional specifications into logical program designs and to deliver code modules, stable application systems, and software solutions. This includes developing, configuring, or modifying integrated business and/or enterprise application solutions within various computing environments. This role facilitates the implementation and maintenance of business and enterprise software solutions to ensure successful deployment of released applications.
Roles & ResponsibilitiesTranslates user stories and functional specifications into logical program designs, code modules, stable application systems, and software solutions in an agile environment.Collaborates with key stakeholders including product management, infrastructure and security to ensure that functional specifications are converted into flexible, scalable, and maintainable solution designs.Develops, configures, or modifies complex integrated business and/or enterprise application solutions within various computing environments by designing and coding component-based applications using various programming languages.Validates and executes component integration test (CIT) scenarios to identify application errors and ensure software solutions meet functional specifications.Facilitates the implementation and maintenance of complex business and enterprise software solutions to ensure successful deployment of released applications by packaging solutions for deployment.Supports end-to-end test automation and other application testing efforts to ensure product quality.Mentors others by applying and sharing an in-depth understanding of company and industry methodologies, policies, standards, and controls.
Years of Experience5 – 8 Years of experience.
Education QualificationBachelor's degree in computer science, CIS, or related field (or equivalent work experience in a related field).
Primary SkillsDesign, implement and maintain Java/Python based applications that can be high-volume and low latency.Handful experience using Cloud technologies preferably GCP.Sound knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) Patterns and ConceptsFamiliarity with different design and architectural patternsHands on Experience and Understanding of the concepts of RESTful web services.Experience in handling external and embedded databases.Skilled at creating database schemas that characterize and support business processes.Implementing automated testing platforms and unit testsIn-depth knowledge of code versioning tools, for instance, Git, BitbucketUnderstanding of building tools like Ant, Maven, Gradle, etcExpertise in continuous integration and continuous deployment.
Secondary SkillsExperience in either Elastic Search / SOLR or EquivalentUnderstanding on Search platform eco-system Data Connectors, Data Transformation, Data Load, Data Index, Data Query Clients, Data Results Relevancy ModulesExperience in Customizing search workflows that includes faceted search, keywords search, phrase search, query expansion using synonyms.Experience with messaging products like RabbitMQ, Kafka or ActiveMQExperience working with DB like Mongo, Casandra etc.
