Job Description: QA SDET Automation Engineer – Java/Selenium Experience: 5+ Years Location: Remote Timings: 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM Job Summary We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented QA SDET Automation Engineer with 5+ years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining automation frameworks using Java, Selenium , and modern testing tools. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, a passion for quality engineering, and experience working in fast-paced Agile environments. You will collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and DevOps teams to deliver high-quality, scalable, and stable products. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable, reusable, and efficient test automation frameworks using Java and Selenium. Develop UI, API, and integration automation test suites using tools like Selenium WebDriver, RestAssured, TestNG/JUnit, and Maven/Gradle. Implement automation for regression, smoke, functional, and end-to-end testing . Collaborate with developers and QA analysts to identify test scenarios , improve test coverage, and ensure product quality. Integrate automated scripts into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps. Perform root cause analysis for test failures and work with dev teams to resolve issues. Create test plans, test cases, and test data aligned to requirements and acceptance criteria. Work closely with product owners and developers to ensure clarity on user stories and acceptance criteria. Identify gaps in existing automation and drive enhancements to improve speed, reliability, and maintainability. Contribute to performance, security, and compatibility testing as needed. Maintain strong documentation for automation frameworks, test results, and testing processes. Required Skills & Qualifications 5+ years of experience as an SDET / QA Automation Engineer . Strong proficiency in Java (OOPs, Collections, Streams, Exception Handling). Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver , TestNG/JUnit, Maven/Gradle. Experience in API automation using RestAssured, Postman, or similar tools. Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps. Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments . Strong understanding of software testing practices , SDLC, STLC, and testing strategies. Experience using version control systems like Git and code review tools. Familiarity with test design techniques (equivalence partitioning, BVA, decision tables). Experience with XPath, CSS selectors , and identifying dynamic web elements. Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills. Good to Have (Optional) Experience with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber or Serenity. Exposure to Docker , Kubernetes, or cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP). Experience in mobile automation (Appium). Knowledge of performance testing tools like JMeter or Gatling. Understanding of SQL and ability to validate data in relational databases. Experience with Playwright, Cypress , or other modern automation tools.
