Technical skills :

- Has a broad skill set with Splunk.


- Experienced with Cloud (Admin), Content-onboarding, SPL, HEC and syslog - required, with 3-5 yrs experience

- Unix, Windows to support on-prem environment - required, prefer to have a Unix resource

- Familiarity with shell scripting ie bash/linux - required being able to use Shell


- Familiarity with JSON/Regex and parsing - required

- Familiarity with Python scripting - nice to have

- Familiarity with deploying configuration through pipeline - nice to have - Familiarity with Remedy - nice to have

- Familiarity with Ansible - nice to have

- Basic knowledge of Docker deployments - nice to have Soft Skills - Individual is comfortable with Technology

- Individual takes the initiative, learns quickly and is independent

- Has a problem-solving and trouble-shooting mindset

- Has experience creating/opening Support cases with the vendor

- Has experience communicating directly with Customers to obtain the necessary data to execute on a request

- Has experience working in an Agile environment/on an Agile team

- Individual has strong communication skills (written and oral)

- Individual has experience in a Lead/Leadership role - nice to have

- Must have the experience of Splunk installation, configuring data inputs and forwarders, data management, user accounts, licenses, troubleshooting and monitoring.

- Setting up Splunk Forwarding for new application tiers introduced into the environment.

- Identifying bad searches/dashboards and partnering with the creators to improve performance.

- Troubleshooting Splunk performance issues / Opening support cases with Splunk.

- Monitor the Splunk infrastructure for capacity planning and optimization.

- Troubleshoot log feeds, field extractions, search time, etc.
