Your New Opportunity Signature Staff is working with our client on a short-term mechanical project based in Townsville, commencing 12 January and running for approximately 3â4 weeks . This role is ideal for an experienced Mechanical Fitter who is confident working independently on mechanical rebuilds and enjoys project-based work with clear scope and structure. The Role You will be engaged on-site assisting with the rebuild of cooling towers , including the removal and replacement of mechanical components. Key Duties Rebuild and service cooling towers Remove and replace motors, fans, bearings, pulleys and belts Carry out mechanical fitting works to a high standard Follow site safety procedures and work efficiently within the project timeframe Pay Rates & Conditions Classification will be based on experience: Level 1 â $40.00 per hour Level 2 â $45.00 per hour Level 3 â $50.00 per hour Hours: 38 hours per weekRoster: Monday to Friday What You’ll Need Certificate III in Mechanical Fitting (essential) Proven mechanical fitter experience Strong mechanical fitting skills and knowledge Ability to work safely and independently on-site PPE & Tools PPE required: Hard hat, hi-vis, safety boots, gloves and safety glasses PPE supplied: No â must bring own Tools: Must bring own tools Why Work with Signature Staff?
