Position
As the Frontend Engineering Manager at Deltatre, you will play a pivotal role in leading our frontend development efforts, driving innovation, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality user experiences across our streaming platform. You will oversee a talented team of UI Leads and frontend engineers, collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders, and contribute to shaping the technical vision and roadmap for our frontend technology stack.
Responsibilities:
Define resource allocation according to plans, making sure the required efforts are made. Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of frontend engineers, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning. Drive the design, development, and implementation of scalable and performant frontend solutions that meet the needs of our streaming platform and align with industry best practices. Support the UI Leads collaborating with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to define requirements, prioritize initiatives, and deliver impactful features and enhancements. Support the People team hiring, onboarding and training new employees and supporting their development in the company, evaluating their performance and contributing to define career paths. Champion frontend engineering best practices, code quality standards, and development processes, ensuring adherence to established guidelines and driving improvements as needed. Stay abreast of emerging technologies, trends, and industry developments related to frontend development, and evaluate their potential impact on our platform. Establish and monitor key performance metrics and benchmarks to assess frontend teams performance, identify areas for optimization, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Foster a culture of innovation, creativity, and technical excellence within the frontend engineering team, encouraging experimentation and exploration of new ideas and approaches.Key Competencies
Leadership and Team Management:
Lead and mentor a team of frontend engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment. Set clear objectives and performance expectations, and provide regular feedback and guidance to team members. Drive the recruitment, onboarding, and professional development of frontend engineering talent.Technical Strategy and Roadmap:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define the technical vision, strategy, and roadmap for our OTT frontend applications. Stay abreast of emerging technologies, tools, and trends in frontend development, and advocate for their adoption when appropriate. Drive architectural decisions and ensure alignment with business objectives and scalability requirements.Execution and Delivery:
Oversee the end-to-end development lifecycle of frontend projects, from conception to deployment. Ensure the delivery of high-quality, performant, and scalable frontend solutions that meet user requirements and business goals. Establish and enforce coding standards, best practices, and quality assurance processes to maintain code integrity and reliability.Collaboration and Communication:
Foster strong collaboration and communication channels with product managers, designers, backend engineers, and other stakeholders. Effectively communicate technical concepts, project status, and priorities to non-technical stakeholders. Proactively identify and address technical challenges and risks, and work towards timely resolution.02
Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. years of experience in frontend engineering roles, in a leadership or managerial capacity. Proven track record of successfully leading and managing high-performing frontend engineering teams in a fast-paced, agile environment. Previous experience managing remote teams and interviewing candidates. Extensive hands-on experience with modern frontend technologies, frameworks, and libraries. Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related web technologies, with a focus on building responsive, accessible, and performant user interfaces. Deep understanding of frontend architecture patterns, design principles, and best practices, with a passion for writing clean, modular, and maintainable code. Experience with frontend build tools, package managers, and automation workflows. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively interact with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions on time and within scope.
Nice to Have:
Experience working in the media, entertainment, or streaming industry, with a solid understanding of OTT platforms, video streaming technologies, and related challenges. Familiarity with backend technologies and concepts (e.g., Node.js, RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, etc.). Experience with cloud platforms and services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, etc.) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, etc.). Active involvement in the frontend development community, contributions to open-source projects, or participation in relevant conferences and events.03
