About the Role: We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled Senior Azure Data Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in building scalable data platforms, modern data warehousing, ETL/ELT pipelines, and end-to-end data engineering solutions on Azure. Hands-on experience with Azure Databricks, Py Spark, Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Synapse , and Microsoft Fabric is essential. Experience with Power BI is an added advantage. What you'll do: Design, build, and maintain robust data ingestion, transformation, and loading (ETL/ELT) pipelines. Develop and optimize data engineering flows using Py Spark, Azure Databricks, and Azure Data Factory (ADF) . Implement data governance, quality controls, lineage, metadata management, and compliance frameworks. Work with Microsoft Fabric to establish data lineage, data cataloging, and unified analytics. Write and optimize complex SQL queries for performance, large-scale processing, and reporting. Build scalable data warehouse and lakehouse architectures using modern cloud frameworks. Apply data cleansing, profiling, standardization, and validation best practices. Collaborate with Data Science, BI, Product, and Engineering teams to deliver data-driven solutions. Mentor junior engineers, promote engineering best practices, review code, and assist in architecture decisions. Maintain comprehensive documentation including data models, ETL workflows, and lineage diagrams . Work closely with stakeholders to plan and deliver high-impact data initiatives. What you'll bring: 5–10+ years of experience in data engineering with end-to-end delivery on cloud platforms. Strong hands-on experience with: Azure Databricks & Py Spark Azure Data Factory (ADF) Azure Synapse SQL (advanced) Real-world project experience with Microsoft Fabric (preferred/mandatory depending on role priority). Solid understanding of data warehousing, data lakes, and lakehouse architecture . Experience with at least one modern cloud data warehouse (Snowflake, Redshift, Big Query, etc.). Familiarity with ETL/ELT tools, orchestration, and performance optimization . Knowledge of data modeling techniques, governance, lineage, and security frameworks . Experience with Power BI or visualization platforms is preferred. Experience leading teams or willingness to take on leadership responsibilities.
