Operational Risk Specialist

The Operational Risk Specialist performs relatively complex assignments. Has direct impact on the business by ensuring the quality of the tasks or services provided. Works under little to no direct supervision. May service an expansive and/or diverse array of products/services. Applies working knowledge of technical and professional principles and concepts and in depth knowledge of team objectives. Understands how assigned duties contribute to the work of the team/unit and how the units coordinate their efforts and resources to achieve the objectives of the function. Ensures the quality and service of self and others. May recommend new options to enhance productivity in accordance with guidelines. Requires tact and diplomacy when exchanging complex or sensitive information with others. Is sensitive to audience diversity. Basic knowledge of the organization, the business and its policies required. Typically responsible for resolving basic to moderately complex problems based on practice and precedence. Able to assess applicability of similar experiences and evaluate options under circumstances not covered by procedures.
Responsibilities:
Have a good understanding of the Citi Risk & control framework and the underlying concepts on Risk Management Assist in performing the monitoring review that augment the principles defined per ARCM (Activity, Risk, Control & Monitoring) Monitor the compliance of control as appropriate to the regulatory requirement. This could be mostly in the Simple to medium complex reviews which are prescribed in nature that have a Residual Risk rating of 3 to 5 (predominantly) Collaborating with onshore and offshore team in gathering the necessary evidence required to perform the testing. Escalate any control failures Timely submission of results in the Citi Risk & Control system Assisting in the creation and maintenance of reports for control tracking and analysis Identifies risks that cross the businesses and organizing cross-functional solutions Additional duties as assignedQualifications:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to perform under pressure Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities Ability to function independently. Proficient in MS Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint applicationsEducation:
Bachelor’s/University degreeShift Timing
Candidate should be willing to work in 24*7 shifts including late night shift start timings
Should be flexible for any shift timing (rotation shifts, permanent night shifts and late night shifts)
