About us

At Ndeavours, we believe that a hard-working student can stand to produce sound and important research output. We want to assist that journey. The program will pair a mentor and mentee based on the latter’s predilection towards a discipline and subfield of interest, and the former’s academic expertise. The program has a 14-16 session structure, during which the mentor and mentee meet once or twice a week to explore the area of interest from a research perspective. The mentor and mentee work harmoniously towards a common goal of research output in the form of short article, review paper, or original research paper.


About the position

The Academic director wishes to recruit research a mentor in the field of history, specifically focused on Medieval Studies and Religion .


Roles and responsibilities

  • Academic supervision of a high school student in writing a research paper.
  • Reporting to the academic leads and academic director.
  • Basic proofreading, peer reviewing, and editing of scientific papers.
  • Willingness to contribute to a developing academic environment.


Requirements

  • A professor, assistant professor, or a PhD in History from a renowned institution.
  • Expertise in the Medieval period and religion.
  • Understanding and experience in conducting unsupervised research. This can be a master's/doctoral thesis with independent research considered valuable.
  • Subject matter expertise with modest ideas for high-school research and a willingness to hand-hold the preliminary journey.
  • Interest in teaching high school students about research and the subject.
  • Internet connection and availability over Zoom.


The position is remote and flexible. The mentorship session will be approximately an hour long and will be held online over a Zoom call. We offer INR 1600-2000 per session (hour), for 14-16 virtual sessions spread over 3-4 months.
