Your role

We're looking for a Data Engineer to:
• design and implement data models, data stores and other data architectureponents
• design, develop and maintain robust data pipelines to ensure accurate and secure data flow with Azure Synapse/Databricks and Data Factory pipelines
• monitor, optimise and troubleshoot the pipelines to identify and resolve performance issues
• collaborate with our stakeholders (Portfolio Managers, Portfolio Engineers and Traders) to understand the business data definitions and rules and create conceptual, logical and physical data models to translate them into database designs
• conduct code reviews and test software as needed, along with participating in application architecture and design and other phases of SDLC

You'll be working in the STAAT ( Smart Technology & Advance Analytics ) team based at Pune which provides data and platform services in its mission to make UBS a global leader in Wealth Industry by applying :

Your expertise
• Bachelor's and/or master's degree or equivalent focusing onputer science,puter engineering, data engineering or a related technical discipline
• 8+ years' experience in data and reporting technologies
• Experience in Azure Cloud Platform foundational products ( ADF , Azure DataBricks , Azure Syanpse Analytics , AKV )
• strong knowledge of data modelling and database design principles and strong experience with sql and nosql databases
•proficiency in Python or spark
• experience with modern data warehouse, big data, lakehouse and data mesh architectures
• proficient in using the following to create data processing solutions: azure data factory, azure synapse analytics, azure stream analytics, azure event hubs, azure data lake storage, azure databricks
• Exposure to data wrangling tools like Alteryx or Dataiku is beneficial
• Experience working in agile or scrum development processes is beneficial and strong analytical and problem-solving skills, you like to figure out how things work
