QA Automation Engineer (Selenium + Appium)
Location - Bangalore/Kochi
Responsibilities:
Take end-to-end responsibility for Sanity and Smoke suites for web and mobile automation.
Develop and lead the automation strategy, creating scripts to perform automated testing using Selenium and Appium or equivalent tools.
Create automation test suites, diagnose issues, and report defects.
Lead the team in developing and implementing automation testing strategies.
Evaluate, review, and recommend test tools and frameworks for automation.
Ensure quality standards are met and enforce technical and testing standards.
Define and track key QA metrics to measure effectiveness and drive continuous improvements.
Document, track, and escalate issues as needed using JIRA .
Provide support during production deployments and perform "validation testing."
Requirements:
2-6 years of experience designing, implementing, and supporting automation solutions for mobile and web applications.
Proven expertise in building automation solutions for web, Android, and iOS using Selenium with Appium or equivalent tools.
Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and a passion for quality and test automation.
Proficient in test processes, frameworks, design strategies, writing test cases, and automating tests using Selenium with Java or alternative languages.
Ability to create and design test cases from requirements, estimate effort, and execute tests.
Solid understanding of STLC/SDLC and testing methodologies and processes.
Experience in handling ambiguous situations, resolving technical issues, and delivering effective solutions to meet project deliverables.
Familiarity with Jenkins , GitLab , and other continuous integration systems.
Hands-on experience with tools like JIRA , Git , and Maven .
