Your Role:We are seeking a

Staff Engineer

to join our

Developer Experience

team within the SolarWinds Observability engineering organization. In this role, you’ll play a key part in enhancing our developers’ experience by creating tools and processes that make it easier for them to innovate and deliver high-quality features to market.You will work closely with other engineers and architects in an agile development environment, driving innovation and streamlining the tools and technologies behind our distributed observability platform.

Key Responsibilities:Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement developer tools that enhance the developer journey.Create and maintain a seamless onboarding experience for new developers, ensuring quick access to necessary tools, resources, and documentation.Develop and maintain developer tools, CI/CD pipelines, and libraries that improve productivity and streamline workflows.Support developers by fostering a vibrant developer community, offering assistance and resources to ensure success.

Your Impact:Empower developers with tools and solutions that enable faster delivery of new features.Simplify the development process and enhance developer efficiency through automation and optimization.Help build a culture of collaboration and innovation by supporting the engineering team with the best possible tools and resources.

Your Experience:Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of industry experience, or Master’s degree with 8+ years of industry experience.Proven experience building cloud-native applications using microservices and event-driven architecture.Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Kubernetes and managing applications in Kubernetes environments.Deep understanding of CI/CD concepts and technologies, including GitOps.Proficiency in software development using multiple programming languages (Python, Golang preferred).Experience with one or more cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) being a plus.Solid DevOps experience with a strong focus on operational excellence and a deep understanding of developer needs and challenges.Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
