About The Role We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled dispute lawyer to join our Legal Team.As a disputes associate you will be responsible for handling a wide range of litigation matters for our organization. You will collaborate with various internal departments and external stakeholders to manage legal disputes develop litigation strategies and provide legal advice to protect the company's interests. The successful candidate will have excellent analytical negotiation and advocacy skills as well as an understanding of the legal landscape and litigation procedures in the Media and entertainment industry.
What You Will Do Manage all aspects of legal disputes including analyzing claims preparing legalstrategies drafting pleadings and managing court proceedings. Recovery Matters t you will be responsible for managing recovery matters including bounced cheques arbitration notices and dishonored cheques and taking care of filing suits before courts and arbitral authorities. You will assist in replying to notices vetting legal documents representing the lawfirm before police stations and judicial authorities and maintaining an MIS to trackcases and notices. Manage dispute cases from inception to resolution ensuring all legal requirementsand deadlines are met. Review and analyze incoming legal notices to understand the allegations claims and legal issues involved. Taking care of Legal Metrology matters and updating the new amendments to themanagement and stakeholders regularly so that the company should legally comply with relevant laws. Prepare wellcrafted responses to legal notices addressing each allegation and legal point with precision and clarity. Handle all stages of litigation/arbitration including drafting pleadings motions and briefs conducting legal research and managing discovery processes. Develop and implement effective litigation strategies to protect the company legalrights and interests. Collaborate with external counsel when required manage external legal resourcesand ensure the timely and costeffective resolution of legal matters. Review and draft correspondence related to disputes. Maintaining the MIS of the case status needs to be updated every week to brief theManagement on the case strategy and its development. May need to travel in some litigation cases Organize and manage files Coordinate resources for projects Able to manage multiple tasks and projects concurrently Knowledge of laws legal codes court procedures or agency rules of assignedpractice group/dept
What You Will Need Bachelor s degree in law (LLB) from a reputed institution. Minimum years of experience in a law firm or corporates with a focus on disputeresolution preferably in the Media & Entertainment industry
