JOB DESCRIPTION - Planning Engineer

  1. Project Scheduling & Control

  2. Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using tools like Primavera P6 or MS Project.

  3. Integrate design, procurement, and construction timelines

  4. Monitor progress against baseline

  5. Resource Planning & Optimization

  6. Forecast manpower, equipment, and material requirements.

  7. Align resource allocation with project milestones and budget constraints.

  8. Recommend adjustments to improve productivity and reduce idle time.

  9. Cost Estimation & Budgeting

  10. Collaborate with cost engineers to prepare accurate budgets.

  11. Track actual vs. planned expenditures and report variances.

  12. Support value engineering and cost-saving initiatives.

  13. Risk Analysis & Mitigation Planning

  14. Identify schedule-related risks and develop mitigation strategies.

  15. Maintain a risk register and update contingency plans.

  16. Stakeholder Reporting & Communication

  17. Prepare weekly/monthly dashboards, S-curves, and progress reports.

  18. Present schedule updates to internal teams, clients, and contractors.

  19. Translate technical data into strategic insights for decision-makers.

  20. Required Qualification
    B-Tech in Civil Engineering with experience of 8-10 years in Project planning

  21. Technical Skills

  22. Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, AutoCAD and Excel
