Roles and Responsibilities
As a Learning and Development specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing the development, execution, and evaluation of training programs aimed at enhancing employee skills and fostering a culture of continuous learning across the organization. Your responsibilities will include:
- Conduct thorough assessments to identify training requirements and skills gaps across various departments.- Lead the creation and implementation of effective training programs and materials tailored to meet both individual and organizational needs.- Facilitate engaging, interactive training sessions and workshops, ensuring effective learning outcomes.- Regularly evaluate the effectiveness of training programs using feedback, surveys, and performance metrics to ensure continuous improvement.- Work closely with department heads and leadership teams to assess training needs and ensure alignment with organizational goals.- Maintain accurate training records, track employee progress, and ensure compliance with internal standards.- Stay updated on the latest trends in learning and development, incorporating new methodologies and technologies into training programs.- Provide ongoing coaching and mentoring to employees, helping them apply training concepts in their daily work.- Manage the training budget and allocate resources efficiently to maximize the impact of training programs.- Ensure all training programs comply with relevant regulations and organizational standards.- Lead the design and implementation of e-learning modules and online training resources for remote and hybrid teams.- Coordinate with external training providers or consultants as needed to complement internal training efforts.- Create and distribute training schedules, ensuring employees are aware of upcoming learning opportunities.- Analyze training data and feedback to identify areas for improvement and modify programs accordingly.- Support the onboarding process by creating and facilitating training modules for new employees.- Foster a culture of continuous learning by encouraging employees to seek growth opportunities and engage with training programs.- Assist in the development of career paths, succession plans, and leadership development programs.- Organize and participate in training-related events, webinars, or external conferences to enhance organizational learning.- Prepare reports on training activities, outcomes, and effectiveness for management review, and provide actionable insights to leadership.- Provide feedback to employees and management on the success of training initiatives, adjusting strategies based on needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.- Minimum of 6 years of experience in HRBP, training, and development, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.- Strong knowledge of training methodologies, adult learning principles, and instructional design.- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage both small and large audiences effectively.- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, learning management systems (LMS), and e-learning platforms.- Strong project management skills, with experience managing multiple training initiatives simultaneously.- Highly organized with a keen ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.- Strong analytical skills to assess training outcomes and create data-driven improvement plans.- Experience working with internal stakeholders to assess and fulfill training needs.- Ability to think creatively and develop innovative training solutions to address business challenges.- Knowledge of relevant training regulations and compliance standards (e.g., data privacy, industry-specific requirements).- Experience managing training budgets and optimizing resources for maximum impact.- Ability to travel as needed for training purposes, both domestically and internationally.- Proven ability to coach and mentor employees at all levels and provide constructive feedback to foster growth.
