Laboratory Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to join our laboratory team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting laboratory tests, analyzing samples, and reporting results in a timely and accurate manner.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Sample Preparation:

- Prepare and process samples for testing, including labeling, storing, and disposing of samples.

- Conduct routine laboratory tests, such as pH, temperature, and other physical and chemical analyses.

2. Testing and Analysis:

- Conduct laboratory tests and analyses using various techniques, such as chromatography, spectroscopy, and microscopy.

- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including calibration and troubleshooting.

3. Data Entry and Reporting:

- Enter data into laboratory information management systems (LIMS) and other software applications.

- Prepare and submit reports of test results, including interpreting and explaining results.

4. Quality Control and Assurance:

- Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities, including proficiency testing and method validation.

- Maintain a safe and clean working environment, adhering to laboratory safety protocols and procedures.

5. Collaboration and Communication:

- Collaborate with laboratory staff, including scientists, technicians, and other support staff.

- Communicate test results and other information to laboratory staff, clinicians, and other stakeholders.

Requirements:

1. Education:

- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as laboratory science, biology, chemistry, or a related field.

2. Certifications:

- Certified Laboratory Technician (CLT) or Certified Medical Laboratory Technician (CMLT) certification is preferred.

3. Experience:

- Minimum 1-2 years of experience working in a laboratory setting, preferably in a clinical or research laboratory.

4. Skills:

- Strong knowledge of laboratory techniques, procedures, and safety protocols.

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

- Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
