Job Title : Process Engineer

Location : Hyderabad

Job Description :

Process Design & Optimization :

  • Develop and improve manufacturing processes for automotive components and assemblies.
  • Implement lean manufacturing principles to minimize waste and enhance process efficiency.
  • Conduct time and motion studies to optimize workflows and minimize cycle times.

Quality & Compliance :

  • Ensure processes align with quality management systems such as IATF 16949 and ISO standards.
  • Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) for process-related issues.
  • Perform statistical process control (SPC) and process capability studies to maintain process reliability.

Production Support :

  • Collaborate with production teams to address day-to-day process issues and implement solutions.
  • Provide technical support for the production line, troubleshooting machinery and equipment issues.
  • Develop and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions for processes.

New Product Introduction (NPI) :

  • Support the introduction of new products by defining and validating manufacturing processes.
  • Collaborate with design and engineering teams to ensure manufacturability of components.
  • Conduct Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) for new and existing processes.

Tooling & Equipment :

  • Design and develop jigs, fixtures, and tooling for improved efficiency and safety.
  • Oversee installation, calibration, and maintenance of production equipment.

Data Analysis & Reporting :

  • Utilize data analytics tools to monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Prepare and present process improvement reports and proposals to stakeholders.

Safety & Environmental Standards :

  • Ensure compliance with workplace safety and environmental regulations.
  • Implement ergonomic improvements to reduce risks to operators.


Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Automotive, or Industrial Engineering (or related field).
  • 3-5 years in process engineering within the automotive industry.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, CATIA, or SolidWorks).
  • Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and process improvement methodologies.
  • Knowledge of automotive manufacturing processes (welding, stamping, assembly, etc.).
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP or similar).
