Requirements
At least 4 years of experience working in an actuarial position within the life insurance industry or at an actuarial consulting firm
Demonstrated experience developing, maintaining and using models built in AXIS.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in best practices in model development, model management.
Demonstrated experience in reserving, capital and financial reporting
Knowledge of other actuarial software including Prophet, MG-Alfa and Python.
Demonstrated experience with US life insurance products and reserving and reporting.
Knowledge of IFRS 17 and US GAAP valuation and financial reporting standards
Experience in a client facing role
Programming skills
Knowledge of Excel, AXIS OR Prophet OR Earnix is mandatory and R, SAS, GGY AXIS, MG Alfa, RAFM, RADAR, ResQ or any other actuarial tool is preferred.
Expectations & Responsibilities
Applying your actuarial knowledge and experience in life and health insurance to enable the delivery of actuarial and broader insurance projects. This may include model validation, peer review, audit, pricing, due diligence and numerous other projects.
Leading the development, conversion and/or validation of AXIS models
Contributing to team success through peer review, sharing knowledge and insights, being proactive and assertive and mentoring junior members of staff.
Developing individual capabilities: expanding the breadth of one’s personal knowledge and capabilities, monitoring developments in life insurance actuarial practice
Involved in the development of TCS’s initiatives across Solvency II, IFRS 17 and other emerging regulatory, accounting and actuarial requirements;
Taking an active role in development of the practice including building and maintaining effective relationships with clients;
