Job Summary:The National e-Governance Division (NeGD) is seeking a skilled and experienced DevOps Engineer to join our technical team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automating deployment processes, managing cloud infrastructure, and ensuring the reliability and scalability of our systems. This role is crucial in supporting the development and deployment of e-governance applications under the Digital India initiative, contributing to the enhancement of public service delivery through technology.

Job Description (JD)The System Engineer/System Administrator will be responsible for managing and maintaining the IT infrastructure within a SupTech environment. This role involves configuring and monitoring servers, ensuring system security, and performing regular maintenance to support operational continuity. Additionally, the System Engineer will create automation scripts, manage backup and disaster recovery plans, and document system activities to ensure compliance and reliability. Ideal candidates should have strong knowledge of system administration, network protocols, and security best practices, as well as experience with scripting languages for automation. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills are essential.

Key Responsibility Areas (KRAs)System Setup & Configuration: Install, configure, and maintain servers, operating systems, and software to ensure efficient and secure operations within the SupTech infrastructure.System Monitoring & Maintenance: Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues promptly to maintain uptime, reliability, and optimal performance of IT resources.Security Management: Implement and enforce security protocols, manage access controls, and regularly update systems to protect against unauthorized access and vulnerabilities.Backup & Disaster Recovery: Develop and manage backup and disaster recovery plans to ensure data protection and business continuity in case of system failures.Automation & Scripting: Develop automation scripts and tools to streamline system administration tasks, such as patch management, software deployment, and monitoring.Documentation & Compliance: Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, maintenance activities, and compliance standards to ensure transparency and adherence to industry best practices.

Educational QualificationAny Graduate (preferably B.E / B.Tech / MCA or equivalent degree in IT/CS) with good academic record from a recognized and reputed university/institution
