Primary Responsibilities Become familiar with project(s) (objectives, scope, workflows, deadlines) at kick-off and engage with Europe- or US-side team on a regular basis Conduct primary and secondary research in a time-bound manner Identify key insights, recommendations, opportunities, and threats to inform corporate and commercial strategies Create and utilize analytical tools to support strategic decision making Develop slides or memos effectively communicating results of analyses Prepare material for project meetings and workshops Regularly engage with senior internal stakeholders and effectively manage upward Demonstrate accountability for completion and high-quality delivery of all assigned responsibilities Participate in and contribute to internal initiatives including business development, knowledge management and new capabilities development Engage with global clients regularly in various ways (e.G., weekly updates, workshops, interim / final presentations) Desired Experience and Skills Understanding of clinical trial phases and its impact on strategic decision-making Demonstrated ability to integrate scientific, business and industry knowledge in developing creative solutions for clients Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; demonstrate mature structured thinking Excellent written and oral communication skills Solid time and people management skills; demonstrate high functioning efficiency Demonstrated ability to work in team environment Proactive and entrepreneurial in spirit Willingness and ability to read complex scientific material and distill key insights Proficiency in MS PowerPoint and Excel Experience using proprietary pharma databases Experience with pharma marketing analytics, valuation or forecasting/modeling is a plus Preferred Qualifications: Advanced degree(s) (PhD, MBBS, MD, BDS, MBA, MS, BPharm/MPharm, MPH) 2-3 years of prior consulting experience OR at least 2-3 years of biopharma industry experience in roles like portfolio planning, corporate strategy or business development US/Europe life sciences industry knowledge and exposure is a plus Note: This role will involve working with the US or Europe teams and will entail working partial overlap hours with relevant time zones at least a few days every week (work timing flexibility is provided); prior demonstrated success working in such environments is a plus What we can offer you: Diverse, interesting and intellectually stimulating projects across our clients’ products, portfolios, and organizations Projects from biotech startups to multinational pharmaceutical corporations Supportive environment to learn and grow, regardless of your skill and knowledge level Being empowered to drive your development, own your work, and manage your time from day one Hybrid office and home working model (depending on project schedules) Structured onboarding program to help you learn basic consulting skills Support for your developmental journey with a: Peer-level buddy to help you navigate your way around Blue Matter and share their experiences Senior-level US or Europe-based career coach to support your overall professional development and career progression Senior-level India-based local mentor for ad hoc support
