Role Description
We are now building motor insurance claims administration vertical and seeking a customer-focused and detail-oriented Claims Manager to manage claims and service operations including team leadership, process creation & execution, quality control, stakeholder coordination and regulatory compliances.
This role is pivotal in Building Claims Delivery Processes with the best industry practices including but not limited to creating service network, managing clients, channel partners, claims admin teams and other stakeholders.
Ensuring a smooth, efficient and customer-centric claims journey across voice and non-voice channels for various types of Insurance Claims is the key deliverable.
Responsibilities:
Claims Oversight & Escalation Handling:
- Supervise the end-to-end processing of various types of motor claims – extended warranty, accidental damages, own damage, third-party, theft, fire, and natural calamities etc.
- Resolve escalated claims or customer issues with professionalism and speed.
- Ensure fair and accurate claim assessment through coordination with surveyors, repair networks and legal teams.
Compliance & Audit:
- Ensure full compliance with IRDAI regulations and internal claim handling protocols.
- Facilitate internal and external audits, implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Maintain transparency and documentation standards across all claims.
Reporting & Insights:
- Track and analyze operational metrics, claims trends and process gaps.
- Prepare reports on claims performance, settlement ratios, customer satisfaction etc.
- Recommend improvements based on analytics and market benchmarks.
Stakeholder Management:
- Liaise with underwriters, garages, loss assessors, customer support, and legal teams for end-to-end claim execution.
- Build strong working relationships with external partners like TPAs, surveyors, and network garages.
The ideal candidate should be in the same or similar role with In-depth knowledge of:
- Claim types:
Partial and Total Loss due to Warranty / Extended Warranty, Accidental, Theft, Fire, Natural Calamities, including but not limited to Third-Party Liability - Policy types:
Comprehensive, Third-Party, Standalone Own Damage, Add-ons - Vehicle types:
Two-Wheeler, Four-Wheeler - Proficiency in claim management systems (CMS), CRM tools, and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of IRDAI guidelines and insurance fraud detection & control
- Excellent people management, communication, and decision-making skills.
