Role Overview: The Junior Test QA Support Engineer will be responsible for developing and executing automated tests using Playwright, performing quality assurance across our web and mobile platforms, and handling support requests from customers. This position requires a blend of QA expertise, TypeScript skills for minor bug fixes, and strong customer support abilities.


Key Responsibilities:

Test Automation:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright for both web and mobile platforms.
  • Run and manage test suites to ensure comprehensive coverage and quality of the platform.
  • Identify, document, and report defects found during testing, collaborating with the development team to resolve them.

Quality Assurance:

  • Conduct thorough QA testing on complex web and mobile experiences to ensure all functionalities operate as intended.
  • Work closely with development teams to create detailed test plans based on project requirements and features.
  • Validate bug fixes and enhancements to ensure they meet quality standards before deployment.

Support Engineering:

  • Handle and resolve customer support requests related to platform issues, using TypeScript to fix minor bugs as needed.
  • Provide clear and timely responses to customer inquiries, ensuring their issues are addressed efficiently.
  • Collaborate with customers to understand their concerns, reproduce issues, and provide effective solutions.

Customer Interaction:

  • Act as a point of contact for customer support, managing and prioritising incoming requests.
  • Document customer issues and feedback, escalating complex issues to higher-level support or development teams as necessary.
  • Follow up with customers to ensure their issues are resolved and their needs are met.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Contribute to refining and improving testing processes and methodologies.
  • Stay current with industry best practices in QA, test automation, and customer support.


Qualifications:

Experience:

  • At least 1-2 years of experience with Playwright for test automation.
  • Hands-on QA experience with web and mobile platforms.
  • Proficiency in TypeScript with experience in fixing minor bugs.
  • Experience in customer support or handling support requests is a plus.

Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Exceptional English communication skills for interacting with customers and internal teams.
  • Good understanding of software development and testing processes.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with additional test automation tools or frameworks.
  • Experience with customer support tools and ticketing systems.
  • Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git).
