What you'll do:Own and lead category’s sales forecasting and demand management across GCC markets.Report into the Senior Merchandiser or Category Head (depending on category)

Forecasting & PlanningReview and analyze sales trends. Research demand drivers. Develop statistical planning models and implement & review resultsCreate rolling 12 month forecast plan, on monthly basis to build up future stock levelsBased on forecast, calculate the stock requirement, and manage purchases accordinglyPlan & monitor replenishment across territories by establishing replenishment parametersMonitoring aging stock level and building liquidating strategy with Buying teamCollaborate with the Buying and relevant business leads to resolve out of stock or stock shortage situations

Inventory Stock OptimizationEnsure optimum category inventory levels are maintained at Concept/Territory keeping in mind sale requirements as well as working capital constraintsEnsure that no instances of category stock outs occur on account of any discrepancy on part of merchandise planning

Stock CoordinationSupervise stock transfers and reconciliationEnsure processes in place as well as track adherence for all stock movement with suppliers & warehouse

Merchandise Planning & ReplenishmentTrack and drive category P&Ls to monitor top line and profitability goalsAnalyze sales trends and product life cycles, use data to identify and prioritize opportunitiesWork closely with Buying teams to identify bestsellers and iterate best sellers to maximize the product salesPrepare and maintain department/category merchandise MIS analytics based on actual sales, sales forecasts, company order parameters, inventory checks, forthcoming events, replenishment needs etc

Margin & Pricing OptimizationDevise a comprehensive pricing/ discount strategy and roadmap to maximize sell through by working closely with the buying teamsMaintenance of Price Sheets and suggesting category wise pricing basis sales aging & marginCustodian of day-to-day Price/Margin of the productsCollaborate with relevant teams to propose and finalize suitable promotion strategies while continually monitoring competitor efforts, to drive in season trade, provide inputs for promotional activity

Performance TrackingKeep a constant update on how the department is tracking to budgets and use this in line with the shipment plan to make sure product is dropping when you need itRun week/month end report to discuss performance against target sales

What you'll need:

Bachelor degree in Business, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering or StatisticsMinimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience in demand planning and forecasting in a multi-branded environment in an Ecommerce companyGood Knowledge of Fashion Buying within an Ecom organizationCore Demand planning and forecasting experience and data modelingManagement of P&LAdvanced level of Excel is mandatoryStrong mathematical and statistical knowledgeAnalytical ThinkingAccountability/OwnershipStrong problem solving skillsHighly motivated self-starter
