Shift: Rotational Shift
The Deployment Engineer will be responsible for supporting proactive monitoring system deployments for audio visual, video conferencing and digital signage devices. The deployment engineer will also perform ongoing platform support and development. The Engineer will be involved with the onboarding of new and existing clients and any future changes for proactive monitoring products and services such as feature updates, software updates, security patches, etc. under our managed service
What you will be doing?
- Deployment of proactive monitoring tools to monitor audio-visual, video conferencing and/or digital signage devices
- Evaluate scope of work and configure monitoring platforms in accordance with the agreed upon scope.
- Define and execute on delivery and implementation plans in conjunction with the assigned service delivery manager.
- Test and troubleshoot final platform configurations.
- Provide internal and external training and end-user support as required during and after the implementation process.
- Ensure proper change management review and approval for any related changes across services during the implementation requested by the client.
- Assist with the planning, tracking, documentation, and status updates for the project.
- Recognize areas for continuous improvement and work with development teams.
- Be the implementation contact for client engagements including kick-off calls until the solutions are deployed, sign-off, and handed over to the service desk.
- Provide timely, accurate, professional, and responsive support, to internal teams and clients to resolve issues and take proactive steps to prevent the conflict/problem from reoccurring
Education/Certifications:
Certifications related to network-connected audio-visual, video conferencing and digital signage devices such as audio DSPs, switchers and AV over IP video equipment is preferred
Required/Desired Knowledge, Experience and Skills:
- A thorough understanding of AV system components, integrations, infrastructure, control systems, and related technologies
- Ability to troubleshoot device connection issues from monitoring services (i.e. port blockages, credential errors, incorrect IPs / HOSTNAMEs, etc.)
- Knowledge of IT-related technologies, networking, & IT security
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent prioritization and organizational skills
- Ability to make decisions and solve problems while under tight deadlines
