As a Lead Frontend Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our user interfaces and driving the growth of our engineering organization. You will be responsible for leading a team of front-end engineers, overseeing the development of our front-end architecture, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, scalable front-end solutions. You will also be a key influencer in our engineering culture, fostering collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.  Responsibilities Technical Leadership:  Architectural Vision: Develop and communicate a strategic vision for the frontend architecture, ensuring alignment with business objectives.  Cutting-Edge Technologies: Stay ahead of industry trends, evaluating and implementing new technologies that enhance our frontend capabilities.  Technical Guidance: Provide technical guidance to the team in terms of code quality, best practices, etc. People Management:  Mentorship: Lead and mentor a team of talented Frontend Engineers asdirect reportees, with focus on career growth and aligning opportunities with aspirations. Set up processes which enhance their productivity, give them space to work and refrain from micromanagement.  Recruitment: Participate in the recruitment process, identifying and bringing onboard top-tier frontend talent.  Performance Evaluation: Conduct performance reviews, providing constructive feedback and recognizing achievements. Innovation and Best Practices:  Code Quality: Establish and enforce coding standards, ensuring high-quality, maintainable code.  Innovation: Encourage a culture of innovation, where team members are empowered to propose and implement creative solutions. Collaboration: Peer Collaboration:  Co-ordinate with Product Managers and UX Designers to review, suggest and align on design and interaction mockups, keeping in mind feasibility and complexity factors.  Co-ordinate with Product Managers to craft the quarterly product roadmap.  Closely collaborate with partner teams like Backend for solutioning, API contract handshake, dependency resolution, etc.  Stakeholder Engagement:  Collaborate closely with stakeholders, understanding their requirements and translating them into actionable development plans.  Regularly engage with relevant stakeholders and keep them apprised of the progress and challenges, blockers, dependencies, etc.  Knowledge Sharing: Facilitate knowledge sharing sessions, fostering a collaborative and informed team environment.  Project Management:  Capacity Planning: Plan team capacity at a quarterly level and provide estimations of the planned items to freeze the quarter scope based on the capacity.  Work Tracking: Practise effective and accurate tracking of work items and their lifecycles on Jira.  Scrum Ceremonies: Take care of regular scrum ceremonies - standups, sprint planning, sprint retros, etc.  Skills Frontend Mastery (Must Have):  Expertise in Vue/React/Angular or any modern web framework, with an internal understanding of their intricacies.  Strong command over JavaScript/TypeScript, ES6 and beyond.  In-depth knowledge of CSS, design patterns, and modern frontend development practices.  Backend Brilliance (Good to Have):  Proven experience with and server-side frameworks such as .  Familiarity with backend languages like Go, Java, Python.  Understanding of databases (Postgres/MySQL) and network protocols (HTTP/HTTPS, WebSocket).  Architecture and Development Prowess:  Design web application architecture for multi-tenant SaaS applications.  Strong command over design patterns, version control, enterprise architecture, and software engineering principles.  Experienced in solutions from wireframes, prototyping to final product.  Tools and Technologies:  Proficient with build tools like Webpack 4+, Rollup, Jenkins, Circle CI, Travis CI.  Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and other cloud technologies.  Familiarity with web servers (NGINX, Apache) and application servers (Express).  API and Web Understanding:  In-depth knowledge of APIs, HTTP, and REST architecture.  Understanding of browser architecture and cross-browser compatibility.  Familiarity with performance testing and optimization techniques.  Personal Skills:  Strong communication skills, ability to collaborate across functional groups.  Enthusiastic, energetic, and a quick learner when it comes to adopting new web technologies.  Demonstrates a sense of project ownership and accountability.  Experience and Qualification 8+ years of experience as a frontend engineer, with a proven track record of leading and delivering high-quality frontend projects  Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field  Excellent communication and collaboration skills  Zeta is an equal opportunity employer.
