Job title: Sr. Data Scientist
Location: Remote
This is a full-time remote role for a Senior Data Scientist at Express Analytics. The Senior Data Scientist
will be responsible for integrating large language Models (LLMs) with customer data sets to create
solutions that deliver text to SQL interface for data analysis and create data visualizations.
The individual will also be responsible for applying statistical theories and methods.
Job Responsibilities
● Ability to understand a problem statement and implement analytical solutions & techniques
independently or with minimal supervision
● Fast learner: ability to learn and pick up a new language/ tool/ platform quickly
● Conceptualize, design, and deliver high-quality solutions and insightful analysis
● Conduct research and prototyping innovations; data and requirements gathering; solution
scoping and architecture; consulting clients and client-facing teams on advanced statistical
and machine learning problems.
● Ability to deliver AI and ML-based solutions around a host of problems within CPG, with
some of them being: Forecasting, Recommender Systems, Customer Segmentation &
Targeting, Propensity Modeling, CRM, Sales incentive optimization, Marketing Mix
Optimization, Price Optimization
● Have experience in LLM and Generative AI
● Work and collaborate with other teams to deliver and create value for clients
Experience Required:
● Expert knowledge of LLMs and understanding of performance tuning and optimization of
LLMs.
● Ability to create an industry-specific LLM for finance and investments, retail and
e-commerce
● Data Science and Data Analytics skills
● Ability to perform statistical analyses and use statistical theories and methods
● Data Visualization skills
● Proficiency in data analysis
● Excellent written and verbal communication
● Ability to work independently and remotely
● Experience in AWS services is a plus
● PhD or Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, or related field
● 3+ years of experience in implementing advanced ML in different projects.
● Expert level proficiency in Python or R, Python is preferred.
● Ability to discover effective solutions to complex problems. Strong skills in data-structures
and algorithms.
● Experience of working on a project end-to-end: problem scoping, data gathering, EDA,
modeling, insights, and visualizations
● Problem-solving: Ability to break the problem into small problems and think of relevant
techniques which can be explored & used to cater to those
● Advanced knowledge of machine learning, probability theory, statistics, and algorithms.
● CPG experience: pricing and trade promotion analytics, marketing analytics, supply chain
management, market basket analysis, assortment optimization, campaign analytics,
category management
● Should be able to use regression, classification, Bayesian methods, neural networks,
tree-based learners, SVM, RF, XGBOOST, time series modeling, dimensionality reduction,
clustering, NLP, etc regularly.
● Have experience in LLM and Generative AI
Good to Have:
● Experience in one of the upcoming technologies like deep learning, NLP, image & video
analytics, recommender systems
● Experience in working with AWS environment or Azure
● Grasp at databases including RDBMS, NoSQL, MongoDB, etc.
Education Qualification
● B.Tech / M.Tech in Computer Science / Mathematics / Signal Processing or related fields
