The Azure Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, and optimization of Azure cloud solutions to meet the organization's technical and business requirements. This role involves providing expert-level support, guidance, and leadership in Azure architecture, deployment, and operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Azure Infrastructure Design: Design scalable and highly available Azure infrastructure solutions based on business requirements, including virtual networks, virtual machines, storage, and identity and access management (IAM) components.

Cloud Migration and Deployment: Lead Azure migration projects, including assessment, planning, and execution of workload migrations from on-premises or other cloud platforms to Azure. Deploy and configure Azure resources using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like ARM templates or Terraform.

Azure Governance and Security: Implement Azure governance policies, security controls, and compliance standards to ensure data protection, regulatory compliance, and risk mitigation. Configure Azure Security Center, Azure Policy, and Azure Sentinel for continuous monitoring and threat detection.

Azure Networking and Connectivity: Design and implement Azure networking solutions, including virtual networks, VPN gateways, ExpressRoute, and Azure Firewall. Configure network security groups (NSGs) and traffic management solutions for optimal performance and security.

Azure Identity and Access Management (IAM): Design and implement Azure Active Directory (AAD) solutions, including user and group management, single sign-on (SSO), and conditional access policies. Configure Azure AD Connect for hybrid identity scenarios.

Azure Monitoring and Optimization: Set up Azure Monitor and Azure Log Analytics for monitoring, logging, and performance analysis of Azure resources and workloads. Implement cost management and optimization strategies to maximize resource utilization and minimize costs.

Disaster Recovery and High Availability: Design and implement Azure Site Recovery (ASR) solutions for disaster recovery and business continuity. Configure Azure Load Balancer, Azure Traffic Manager, and other high availability features for resilient and fault-tolerant applications.

Scripting and Automation: Develop automation scripts and workflows using PowerShell, Azure CLI, or other scripting languages to streamline Azure deployment, management, and maintenance tasks. Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices for repeatable and consistent infrastructure deployments.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in Azure cloud platform administration and engineering roles.

Expert-level knowledge of Azure services, including compute, storage, networking, security, and identity solutions.

Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, Azure Resource Manager (ARM), and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.

Strong understanding of cloud migration methodologies, best practices, and tools for lift-and-shift, re-platforming, and cloud-native application development.

Experience with Azure governance, security, and compliance frameworks, including Azure Policy, Azure Security Center, and Azure Sentinel.

Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues in Azure environments.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
