JIRA Admin/SME.
The RoleLooking for a JIRA Admin with good understanding of release management, change management and ITSM processes.
Required Skills:5-8 plus years of total experience in JIRA administration and Migration.Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or any engineering discipline; or Master’s degree.Atlassian tool administration knowledge on JIRA and Confluence & add in’s like Tempo Planner, Timesheet, X ray, Script runner etcAbility to manage user , roles, access, entitlements and security /compliance aspectsAbility to manage JIRA/add in /confluence license management etcAbility to write custom JQL (Jira Query Language).Ability to develop custom dashboards using various filter types in JIRA.In-depth knowledge in customization for Agile project management, application support and also on the DevOps stack of CI/CD enablement’s.Ability to create/configure Confluence pages and integrate JIRA projects with Confluence pages.Experience in performing Atlassian installations, migrations, and plugin installation.Good understanding of release management, change management and ITSM processesAbility to work in a dynamic agile/waterfall and hybrid environment.Must have strong work ethic with good time management skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Good Presentation Skills.Good analytical and troubleshooting Skills.
Roles and Responsibilities:Serve as JIRA admin/SME by ensuring end to end jira administrative activities plus add ins etc are taken care independentlyMaintain JIRA projects, workflows, permissions, and users.Improve JIRA security. Set access permissions for JIRA projects and Confluence spaces.Work with JIRA filters, reporting, dashboards, workflows, fields, and JIRA administration.Analyze, review, and document current functionality to determine potential areas of improvement.Manage user permissions for tools according to the needs of projects and teams.Perform application and system administration tasks, including data backups and scheduled jobs.Test new versions of the tools and plug-ins to ensure compatibility.Research and utilize industry standard methods and techniques.Communicate and share knowledge with internal contacts at all levels.Manage multiple responsibilities with tight deadlines.Also to conduct JIRA basic and tailored training to required team/stakeholders
