Job Title: Senior Consultant - (SAS Admin / Coding)Career Level - D2Introduction to Role:Join AstraZeneca as a Senior Platform Engineer in our R&D IT Solution Delivery Team. You will manage and maintain our Analytics & Reporting product, a GxP compliant platform used across late science teams in all therapeutic areas. This role is part of our BizDevOps team, where you will work multi-functionally with other team members and be actively involved in both support and development activities of the product. There's never been a better time to join Technology at AstraZenecaAccountabilities:As a Senior Consultant, you will be responsible for solving day-to-day incidents, service requests, and working towards incident-reduction and automation. You will apply your SAS Programming & shell scripting skills to develop/enhance SAS programs, macros, and scripts. You will ensure system security and control procedures are implemented and maintained. You will participate in business requirement gathering and design activities as part of the scrum team. You will also perform delivery activities through Design/Build/Test/Deploy phases for regular releases on the A&R platform.Essential Skills/Experience:- Experience in SAS Administration & ability to handle support tickets independently- Ensures the overall health and wellness of the SAS GRID platforms Designs, implements, and maintains platform security via SAS Metadata, Red Hat Enterprise Linux and LSF- Knowledge on file systems, storage devices and ACL’s- Experienced with SAS Enterprise Guide, SAS Studio, terminal clients such as Putty, WinSCP, MobaXterm & Citrix environments- Experience in SAS Coding- Experience administering SAS platform in a multi-node GRID environment with Linux OS Hands-on experience as a SAS administrator of the 9x suite in a Linux environment- Sound knowledge of SAS procedures and macros preferably in life sciences domain- Knowledge of client-server networking and database management- Ability to fix complex SAS coding issues, help users to optimize SAS programs and experience working with vendor technical support teams- Efficient communication skills- Experienced with any version control system for tracking source code- Familiar with the change deployment process and required documentation for any code enhancements- Ability to work independently and collaborate with people across the globe with diverse cultures and backgrounds.- Demonstrate willingness and attitude to take on different roles within Product team as when opportunity arises.Desirable Skills/Experience:- Demonstrated experience with SAS Coding, R & Python programming languages and shell scripting- Knowledge of support processes like Incident Management, Problem Management, Organizational Change and experience working in support teams.- Administration background with
