Job Title: Senior Project Manager - Regulatory Reporting
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with expertise in regulatory reporting to lead and oversee projects related to regulatory compliance within our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial services, familiarity with regulatory requirements, and proven experience in project management methodologies. This role requires effective communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills to ensure successful delivery of regulatory reporting initiatives on time and within budget.
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage projects related to regulatory reporting, including but not limited to Basel III, Dodd-Frank, MiFID II, EMIR, and other relevant regulations.
Develop and execute project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including finance, risk management, legal, compliance, and IT, to gather requirements and implement solutions for regulatory reporting.
Collaborate with subject matter experts to interpret regulatory requirements and translate them into actionable project tasks and deliverables.
Identify and assess project risks, issues, and dependencies, and develop mitigation strategies to ensure successful project delivery.
Monitor project progress, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and report status updates to stakeholders and senior management.
Facilitate regular project meetings, workshops, and status reviews, ensuring effective communication and collaboration among project team members.
Manage project resources, including personnel, budget, and technology infrastructure, to optimize project delivery and achieve desired outcomes.
Ensure compliance with project management methodologies, standards, and best practices, including documentation, change control, and quality assurance.
Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to project team members, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
Proven experience (10+ years) in project management , with a focus on regulatory reporting projects within the financial services industry.
Strong understanding of financial regulations and reporting requirements, such as Basel III, Dodd-Frank, MiFID II, EMIR, FATCA, and CRS.
Familiarity with regulatory reporting systems, data models, and technology platforms used in financial institutions (e.g., Axiom, Wolters Kluwer, Moody's Analytics).
Excellent project management skills, including project planning, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, and resource allocation.
Effective communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts and ideas to diverse audiences, including senior management and regulatory authorities.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
Leadership qualities, including decision-making, conflict resolution, and the ability to motivate and inspire others.
Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, Asana) and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining a focus on project objectives and deadlines.
