The team

Every day, enterprises deploy new mission-critical infrastructure, DB, and applications to optimize and improve their operations on the cloud and on-premises. This infrastructure and applications need to operate 24X7. Operators and developers need visibility into the health and performance of these applications and when something goes wrong they need the tools to rapidly diagnose the problem.

Oracle Enterprise Manager (EM) enables users to monitor, manage, and diagnose application, DB, and infrastructure problems rapidly. EM monitors and helps manage the data centers behind the Oracle Public cloud infrastructure as well as the critical systems of thousands of large-scale Oracle customers.

Our team develops the core monitoring and management infrastructure as part of the Enterprise manager platform. We collect and process massive amounts of monitoring data and are excited to develop new products offering rapid diagnostic and resolution capabilities with smart insights into this data.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a full-stack developer who will help shape the future of our platform and will:

Design and implement new monitoring features of the EM platform with a focus on leveraging the data we collect. Analyze the architecture, design, and implementation of existing monitoring features with a focus on improving usability, scalability, extensibility, and security Interface with internal users and Oracle customers to both understand their current needs, anticipate future needs, and seek novel solutions to address these needs

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate has :

BS/MS in Computer Science/engineering or related field Professional experience in Framework and Platform design Experience in building highly scalable modern web applications on Java, J2EE technologies Experience using and developing RESTful APIs using JAX-RS, JSON, and other web technologies Strong JavaScript, jQuery, Knockout, RequireJS, and HTML programming skills Experience in JavaScript, jQuery, Knockout, RequireJS, and Oracle JET is a plus Experience in RDBMS (Oracle preferred) and respective application development  Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn Adaptable, flexible, organized, and works well in a local and global team environment

Design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks, a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the development, debugging, or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design, and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower-level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 5 years of software engineering or related experience.
