We are looking to expand our team and are seeking a talented Finance Administrator with a passion for finance and innovation.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in finance and accounting, with specific knowledge and experience in ConnectWise, Xero, and Australian GST rules. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can manage complex business finances, including P&L, budget forecasting, and cash flow statements.
Key Responsibilities:
• Financial Management: Manage and maintain financial records using ConnectWise and Xero, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Australian GST rules.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyse profit and loss statements, budget forecasts, and cash flow statements. Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Support the preparation and monitoring of budgets and financial plans. Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
• Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy in all financial reporting.
• Policy Implementation: Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and adherence to budgets. Provide administrative support for financial operations as needed.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a finance or accounting role.
• Proficient in ConnectWise and Xero software.
• In-depth knowledge of Australian GST rules and regulations.
• Strong understanding of complex business finances, including P&L, budget forecasting, and cash flow statements.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in a tech-based consulting firm.
• Professional certifications such as CPA or CFA.
