Cloudera is looking for a Network Engineer located in Bangalore to join our IT Infrastructure and Operations Team. You will work closely with our Security, R&D, SRE and the Cloud Operations teams to design, create and implement industry leading network standards throughout our entire internal infrastructure stack; primarily focused on our Enterprise infrastructure which includes our data centers, labs, and offices around the world. This also includes connectivity to AWS, Azure, and GCP. 

The Cloudera Infrastructure and Operations team’s mission is to ensure that all business units have the tools, resources, and connectivity they need in order to be productive all while driving operational efficiencies. 

As a Network Engineer you will:

Design and implement new network solutions and/or improving the efficiency of current networks

Install, configure, monitor, deploy and maintain high-capacity network hardware

Configuring firewalls, routing and switching to maximize network efficiency and security

Maximizing network performance through ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting. Arranging scheduled upgrades

Participate/contribute in projects related to capacity planning and expansion activities

Investigating faults in the network and working with vendors to resolve the issue

Updating network equipment to the latest firmware releases. Reporting network status to key stakeholders

Work with the Security team on: Patching vulnerabilities across all network equipment and configuration of security devices/appliances

Participate in on-call rotation schedule for network coverage

Work with the Cloud Operations and SRE teams on direct connects and virtual links to AWS, Azure, and GCP

We’re excited about you if you have:

3-5 years professional experience managing enterprise network environments

Proficiency with Cisco/Meraki and Arista networking platforms

Knowledge of and experience with routing protocols

Experience with Palo Alto Network and Cisco/Meraki security devices

Experience with VPN client

Experience working with a variety of network monitoring tools

Motivated self starter who can lead major initiatives and be a mentor for less experienced work colleagues

Strong documentation and communication skills

Strong knowledge and experience with routing and switching protocols

You may also have:

Experience with the configuration and management of Cisco wireless LAN controllers and access points

Dell networking platforms experience a plus

Experience with AWS, GCP and Azure cloud networking and direct-connect technologies.

CCNA/CCNP or any relevant certifications are a bonus
