We’re a super early-stage startup already live with early users. As an intern, you won’t just “watch” innovation happen: you’ll shape it, test it, and ship it. Role Description: AI Chief of Staff Intern (Investments & Strategy) As Chief of Staff Intern, you’ll shadow and represent the founders on investor research, strategy, and partnerships. This isn’t a back-office analyst role: you’ll actively shape how Maya positions itself to the world. What You’ll Do Research competitors, funding rounds, and partnerships using Tracxn, Crunchbase, and Pitch Book. Track investor landscapes and prepare briefs on relevant VCs and angels. Build and update our fundraising pipeline (who to talk to, when, why). Prepare competition battlecards: strengths/weaknesses vs Maya. Support pitch refinement and strategy (you’ll sit in prep calls and see what goes into fundraising). Explore relevant competitions, GTM, events and programs. Qualifications MBA or equivalent background preferred. Humanities students welcome to apply: we value strong writing, research, and strategic thinking. Strong communication and structured thinking. Interest in venture capital, startups, and AI ecosystems. Application Assignment (Compulsory Prerequisite) We don’t do CV-only hiring: this assignment is compulsory and acts as our filtering mechanism (we receive 600+ applications but never self-reject; there are multiple positions). Please finish within 48 hours of applying. Part 1 (Compulsory): Try Maya from Investor POV Use Maya Agent. AI with no instructions. Deliverable: 3–5 slides covering: What you think Maya does (in your own words) What worked / what didn’t from an investor perspective Would you invest? If yes, what traction/metrics would you want to see next? Part 2 (Choose Any 2 of 5) Pick two of the following advanced tasks and deliver in slide format (Google Slides/PPTX): Market Sizing Exercise – Build a TAM/SAM/SOM model for Maya with assumptions & sources. Competitor Battlecard – Compare Maya vs 1–2 competitors (Rabbit R1, Humane, x.ai, Replika). Investor Targeting Map – Identify 5–10 early-stage VCs/angels, with focus, check size, AI thesis. Valuation Benchmarks – Research 3–5 recent AI startup fundraises; benchmark valuation & traction. Unit Economics Hypothesis – Draft a simple model on Maya’s CAC, usage costs, and lifetime value. Deliverables: Google Slides or PPTX + optional Loom (≤5 mins) walking through your analysis.
