For this role we believe you have
8-11 years in structuring PPA negotiations for renewable energy project and experience working in renewable energy sector with developer/trading/utility industry/Sustainability/renewable Energy Consultancy companies
Ability to manage multiple simultaneous Sustainability projects requiring frequent communication, organization, time management, and problem-solving skills
Strong analytical skill set to support review of electricity procurement strategies, utility tariffs, and power purchasing agreement
Excellent Project Management skills to manage Sustainability/Renewable Energy Sourcing projects against plans and objectives of IKEA Sustainability goals.
Develop and implement strategies for procuring waste management supplier services, considering the organization's current and future waste generation needs. This involves analyzing waste streams, forecasting volumes, and identifying cost-effective solutions.
Identify and evaluate waste management vendors, negotiate contracts, and manage ongoing relationships. This includes ensuring vendors comply with contractual agreements, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
Active interest in Sustainability and natural ability for understanding changing technologies and innovation related to energy and environmental systems
Excellent skills to prepare business case and analyses of financial models for Sustainability including Renewable energy Projects
Bachelors degree required Engineering/Economics/Business/Finance
Fluent in English both written and spoken
Strong knowledge in purchasing practices and related processes
Strong negotiation skills and experience of supplier management and supplier development
Experience in SAP procurement tools such as ARIBA/S4Hana.
Your responsibilities
Contribute to the development and execution of the category/market action plan by:
Securing compliance of the Group Procurement purchase process.
Building long term supplier partnerships and drive supplier performance.
Involving relevant business partners to identify business needs and opportunities
Take responsibility to understand and communicate around the direction of the organization together with expectations and goals for the role.
Adapt to a changing environment and challenge existing ways of doing things and use mistakes as opportunities for development and improvement.
Focus on what adds value for the customers and find relevant solutions to meet customers' needs.
Show IKEA values through behaviors and actions. Establish trustful relationships and be self-aware and understand own impact on others.
Collaborate with colleagues across departments and functions in a way that will contribute to a positive and inclusive climate.
Take fully responsibility for following and securing the Group Procurement purchase
process end to end.
Responsible for building long term partnerships with Key Suppliers based on shared business model.
Responsible for building trusted relationships through IKEA way of doing business, secure compliance of IWAY and Code of Conduct.
Responsible for supplier management and supplier performance by professionally challenge suppliers to constantly improve all aspects of supplier performance.
Through proactive market monitoring give input about sourcing options, supplier
market, market trends and contributing to the development of the category/sourcing plans
Act according to IKEA values do business with Fact-based Business Leadership.
Sound understanding of different Procurement methods for Renewable Energy and other Sustainability Projects
Structure and execute power purchase agreements (PPAs) that reduce cost, minimize risk, and leverage opportunities that benefit IKEA
Work with external partners to Develop and execute renewable energy strategy for IKEA India to achieve % renewable energy by .
Work with utility regulators and provide inputs in developing policies and guidelines that
enable broader IKEA strategies and objectives.
Work collaboratively with IKEA wide teams to support the development of strategic renewable energy investments and sourcing.
Knowledge and experience of local Waste Management market, regulations, and general practices in India.
Experience in Strategic sourcing and ability to identify opportunities to establish long term strategic partnerships with Key Suppliers for Energy and Waste Management
Good knowledge of Supplier Relationship and Performance Management to drive overall quality improvement, cost optimization and innovation.
Knowledge of Category cost / market drivers and trends to contribute to building
sourcing strategies
