JOB TITLE: SENIOR SYSTEMS ENGINEER - SASE LOCATION: BengaluruSUMMARY We are seeking a highly skilled Pre-Sales Technical Specialist to join our team, specializing in Versa Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) offerings. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional technical expertise and the ability to effectively engage with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders to drive the adoption and deployment of Versa SASE solutions.You will be part of Versa’s talented global SE team. This job involves 20 - 30% travel to both domestic and international locations.EDUCATION QUALIFICATION Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Electronics, Computer Application.EXPERIENCE Minimum of 10+ years of proven experience in security and networking roles, with a focus on designing, implementing, and managing security solutions.ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES · Lead pre-sales discussions with customers and partners, including C-level executives, to understand their security requirements and challenges.· Provide comprehensive technical support to customers and partners, addressing inquiries and clarifying doubts regarding Versa SASE offerings.· Coordinate and execute Proof of Concept, both on-site and off-site, to demonstrate the capabilities and effectiveness of Versa SASE solutions.· Develop network designs and oversee the deployment of Versa SASE solutions, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and industry best practices.Stay abreast of competitive solutions, products, and services, providing insights to position Versa SASE offerings effectively in the market.· Gather and provide market and product feedback to inform product management and back-office operations, contributing to product enhancement and development.· Conduct workshops and demonstrations for prospects and customers, highlighting the features and benefits of Versa SASE solutions.· Offer valuable market insights to product and engineering teams, guiding the development of future products and features.· Author whitepapers, knowledge base articles, and other customer/partner-facing content to educate stakeholders about Versa SASE offerings.ESSENTIAL SKILLS · In-depth understanding of networking concepts, security protocols, and cloud technologies.· In-depth understanding of TCP/IP protocol stack and operation.· Knowledge of WAN technologies and protocols like MPLS, MPLS-based VPNs, BGP, OSPF, ISIS and IPSec.· In-depth knowledge of solutions on Cloud security with FWaa S, DLP, CASB, RBI and Malware prevention solutions.· Proven work experience working with solutions around Information Security, Remote Access Security, Web Security, and Endpoint Security (XDR, EDR, etc)· Knowledge in architecting and/or managing large-scale, high performing Security solutions (on-prem or Cloud-based)DESIRED SKILLS · Experience planning, designing, or operating service providers or large enterprise security tools.· Knowledge on Linux administration.· Experience in configuration and troubleshooting networks and security appliances.· Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Comp TIA Security+ or equivalent are desirable.COMPETENCY· Ability to think full-stack when it comes to problem-solving.· Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.· Excellent hands-on skills in deploying and troubleshooting complex networks.· Willingness to help customers, peers and other team members in crisis.· Self-motivation, work without supervision.· Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
