We enable your best to power our future.Nielsen‘s mission is to help marketers and media companies measure and improve advertising performance by accurately reporting on what consumers watch, see, or hear (whether on television, the web, mobile devices or on the radio).A Technical Product Owner is expected to lead across multiple cross-functional teams to drive initiatives related to new product development. As a Technical Product Owner, you will work closely with our technology leaders, development teams, Product Managers and other Technical Product Owners to drive development efforts for key initiatives involving our panel systemsJob Responsibilities

Create and manage sprint and release plans for product development initiatives.Work directly with application development teams to drive requirements and build user stories, acceptance criteria, and software requirements documentation using agile development methodologies.Facilitate agile ceremonies (Standups, Sprint Planning, Retrospective, Demos, Backlog Grooming)Ensure alignment on scope across all stakeholders throughout the lifecycle of product development.Participate in our planning increment process, aligning planned work for the development teamsIdentify and mitigate blockers, risks, issues, and dependencies that may impact project delivery and escalate to the appropriate stakeholders.Coordinate the creation of release management documentation, follow change management procedures, and review post-deployment KPIs

Job Requirements

Bachelor's degree in business, systems analysis, or computer science8+ years in a dynamic business environment with most experience in technology-focused roles such as software engineer, database engineer, developer or relevant role and product owner rolesExperience as a Product Owner, owning and working with products containing complex/large interfaces required.Strong technical aptitude and the ability to translate between business and technical needsExpert knowledge of Agile development practices and demonstrated success working without a scrum master and release manager.Experience with Atlassian Jira and Confluence tools.Demonstrated ability to lead across many cross-functional teams, effectively managing multiple competing initiativesComfortable working in autonomous, self-directed environmentsA bias for change and the ability to influence a team toward a culture of qualityExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong persuasion, interpersonal and presentation skillsAble to listen and quickly distill a situation to recommend a course of action in driving project deliverablesStrong time management skills.

Desired Qualifications

Additional certifications in Product Management, Agile methodologies, or related areas.Experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)Prior experience in Audience Measurement / Media industryFamiliarity with cloud product architecture and general software engineering practices.Familiarity with data architecture, data lakes, data models, and RDBS database technologiesExperience with backend processing systems, system integration and data exchangesExperience with Salesforce a plus
