Job Description

Perform day to day operational management and administration of existing MSSQL databases and ServersInterface with existing IT departments to ensure OLTP ATM switches are online, available and performing optimally with a 99.9999% required uptimeProactively monitor the enterprise database systems to ensure secure, reliable service with minimum downtimePerform day to day backup management as well as file management of MSSQL databasesAvailability for 24/7 on call support.Monitor, evaluate, tune and optimize MSSQL databases and ServersWork with the Application Development team to ensure code is performant on databases, table structures are well designed and index performance is consideredManage and maintain database Security; including Active Directory and MSSQL role based security modelsResponsible for implementation all changes to the Production environment and ensure proper Change Management policies are followedResearch and implement Windows/SQL patches and Service PacksDocumentation of all SQL Servers and Databases within the EnterpriseEnsure resolutions to issues are completed rather than repetitive repairsIndustryIT-Software / Software ServicesFunctional AreaIT Software - Application Programming, MaintenanceJob RoleSoftware DeveloperJob TypePermanentQualification
