Job Description: Designer (AutoCAD & SolidWorks)Position Overview

We are seeking a highly creative and technically skilled Designer with expertise in AutoCAD and SolidWorks. The ideal candidate should not only be proficient in 2D/3D design and drafting but also possess exceptional imagination to conceptualize innovative solutions, transform abstract ideas into tangible designs, and contribute to product development with originality and precision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create detailed 2D drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
  • Create discussion level designs by hand on paper.
  • Develop and refine product designs, assemblies, and components based on project requirements.
  • Work closely with the engineering, R&D, and production teams to ensure designs are functional, feasible, and cost-effective.
  • Translate concepts, sketches, and client requirements into high-quality technical drawings and models.
  • Apply creative problem-solving to design challenges and suggest imaginative alternatives.
  • Conduct design reviews, simulations, and feasibility checks to validate concepts.
  • Maintain and update a design library and ensure proper documentation of all design files.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends, tools, and techniques in design and engineering software.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks (mandatory).
  • Bachelor's/Diploma in Mechanical/Industrial/Product Design or related field.
  • Strong visualization skills with the ability to convert abstract ideas into practical designs.
  • Exceptional imagination and creativity combined with sound engineering judgment.
  • Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and design standards.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate in a cross-functional team.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in product design, prototyping, or industrial design.
  • Familiarity with GD&T, FEA, or simulation tools in SolidWorks.
  • A portfolio demonstrating innovative and imaginative designs.
