Job Description:
We seek an experienced and results-driven Project Manager to lead and oversee data-centric projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data systems, analytics, and processes and exceptional project management skills to ensure the successful delivery of data initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Management:
Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets for data-related projects.
Could you define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in alignment with business goals?
Please monitor and track project progress, making sure it's timely.
Stakeholder Communication:
Collaborate with stakeholders, including business leaders, data scientists, and IT teams, to gather requirements and provide regular updates.
Act as the primary point of contact for all project-related communications.
Data Integration and Analysis Oversight:
Coordinate efforts to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from multiple sources.
Ensure data quality, consistency, and accuracy throughout the project lifecycle.
Risk and Issue Management:
Identify potential project risks related to data systems and analytics.
Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, data analysts, and developers.
Facilitate team collaboration to achieve project goals.
Compliance and Best Practices:
Ensure projects adhere to data governance, privacy, and security regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
Promote the use of best practices in data management and analytics.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certification is a plus.
Experience:
4+ years of experience managing projects, focusing on data and analytics.
Proven experience delivering data migration, data integration, or analytics projects.
Technical Skills:
Familiarity with big data tools and platforms (e.g., Python, spark SQL, Power BI, Tableau, Hadoop).
Understanding of ETL processes and data warehousing.
Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Asana).
Personal Attributes:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
Adaptable to a fast-paced, evolving environment.
