About the Role

As a Cloud Connectivity Services Delivery Subject Matter Expert for Cloud DC Networking and Connectivity Services, you will be one of the key contributors of the team that will be responsible for delivering the products and the solutions for delivering our customers a world class best in breed Automated Cloud Data Center Architectures built on the principles of Software Defined Networking that is going to power the next gen 5G use cases for residential and enterprise customers.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the discussions with customer and other partner teams at architect as well as management level.
• Interface with end customers, sales team and other product managers to understand the customer’s Cloud Networking & Connectivity requirements and work with the Product Owners, Product Managers and Software Dev. Leads to feedback these requirements/use cases into Rakuten Products and Use cases.
• You will be one of the key members of the team that will work with vendors and partners to lead the development of delivery artifacts such as HLD and LLD.
• Work with the RCP Cloud team as well as the vendors/partners during Presales-showcase/POC/Lab.
• Work with RCP engineering teams as well as vendors on product enhancements, new features etc.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Solutions Architect/Solution Consultant.
• First-hand customer and field facing experience or having worked in real world production environment such as Telco/Enterprises.
• 5+ experience working on product and solution architectures in the area of data centre connectivity/fabric solutions.
• Experience working with vendors such as Cisco/Juniper is highly preferred.
• CCIE/JNCIE certified datacenter expert is preferred with hands-on Cisco ACI expertise.
• Solid understanding of Cloud Data Centre architectures including the routing connectivity L2/L3 design.
• Solid knowledge preferred in the following areas: Ethernet, IP & IPv6 routing protocols (BGP, ISIS, OSPF, PIM, IGMP; etc.), Overlay Protocols such as EVPN, L3VPN etc.
• Experience designing and working with the network services i.e. Load balancers & proxies, Data Centre security like IPS, WAF etc.
• Familiarity with Network Design related artifacts such as Architecture, HLD, LLD etc.
• Knowledge of Network Automation & Techniques.
• Strong analytic, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Ability to work with cross functional teams.
• Capability to work with minimum supervision.
• Proven problem-solving abilities.
• Familiarity with Virtualization and Cloud Native architectures and technologies such as OpenStack, VMWare, Kubernetes, OpenShift etc.
• Knowledge of Network virtualization and Container networking solutions such as Calico, VMWare.
• Experience working with SDN (Software Defined Networking) Controllers, Data Center & Telco Network Orchestration.
• Experience working with products and solutions such as include Open daylight, ONAP.
• Experience in working with opensource networking solution stacks and products. Examples include NGINX, HAPROXY, Traffik, MetalLB, Service-mesh.
• Good understanding of 5G architecture and 5G cloud infrastructure requirements.
• Server network acceleration techniques such as SRIOV, DPDK.
• Proven leadership ability and ability to work with leadership at all levels.
• Strong analytic reasoning skills and the ability to communicate with ease both internally within the company as well as externally with customers/partners.
• Proven problem-solving abilities and abilities to work with minimum supervision.
