Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or another relevant field required.
- Master's degree in accounting beneficial, master's degree in taxation preferred.
Experience
- Seven (7) years of hands-on experience into US GAAP Reporting and ASC 740 Accounting for Income Taxes.
- Provide tax accounting and reporting services to CH-2 tax provision clients.
- Strong Experience in Reviewing key components of US GAAP provision encompassing calculations pertaining to Current Tax Expense, Deferred Tax Expense, Current Tax Payable roll-forward, Deferred Tax roll-forward, Valuation Allowance Analysis, ETR rate reconciliation analysis, UTP/FIN-48 Analysis and Tax JE’s tie out.
- Prior experience into Federal Tax, State Tax Compliance and International Tax would be an added advantage.
- Prior supervisory & team handling experience needed.
- End to End engagement handling experience is a must.
- Training new and existing team members on the basics of ASC 740 as well as new tax law changes.
- Prior experience in any of the Big 4 Accounting firms would be an added advantage.
- Assisting clients with their implementation of OTP transition and new templates build.
Software
- Experience with Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook), and Adobe Acrobat.
- Experience with tax research databases such as BNA and RIA Proficient in all tax compliance process software including GoFileRoom, GoSystemRS,,Onesoure Income Tax, CCH, or comparable programs and standard tax workpapers.
Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to effectively delegate work as needed and create strong team base for the ASC 740 Income Tax Accounting team.
- Strong analytical, research and critical thinking skills as well as decision-making skills
- Capacity to work well in a team environment.
