Roles & Responsibilities

  • Act as a Quality Engineer within an Agile/Scrum delivery squad, ensuring adherence to Agile delivery governance.
  • Own and drive
    quality assessments
    of deliverables and user stories within and across squads.
  • Automate test scenarios
    for complex user stories within sprints and build/maintain a scalable Automation Test Suite.
  • Conduct
    Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
    for defects, applying an SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) mindset.
  • Prepare and maintain key
    test documentation
    such as Requirement Traceability Matrix (RTM), Test Plan, Test Strategy, and Test Cases.
  • Design and execute test cases across
    UI and API layers
    , ensuring complete functional and integration coverage.
  • Participate in
    code reviews
    , collaborating closely with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure delivery of
    high-quality software
    solutions, particularly for large-scale banking services impacting millions of users.
  • Collaborate with
    cross-functional teams
    to identify, implement, and drive quality engineering initiatives.
  • Continuously contribute to the improvement of
    automation frameworks, test strategies, and CI/CD pipelines
    .
  • Work with teams to identify opportunities to embed
    Quality Engineering best practices
    throughout the software development lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in
    Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
    .
  • 4+ years of Quality Engineering experience
    with a strong software testing mindset.
  • Proficiency in
    Java programming
    for test automation development.
  • Hands-on experience with
    UI Automation tools
    : Selenium, Cucumber, Page Object Design Pattern, Page Factory, TestNG, etc.
  • Expertise in
    API/Backend Automation
    using Rest Assured, JUnit, Mockito, Spring Boot, and Cucumber.
  • Knowledge of
    different phases of SDLC
    and testing within CI/CD environments.
  • Experience in preparing and maintaining
    test beds, RTM, Test Plans, Test Strategy Docs, and Test Cases
    .
  • Ability to collaborate in Agile teams and contribute to continuous improvement in Quality Engineering.
