The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in preparingEnvironmental & Social Impact Assessments (ESIA), Detailed Project Reports (DPRs), Climate Resilience and Adaptation Reports , and integratingNature-Based Solutions (NBS)in line withinternational funding agency guidelines(KfW, TNUIFSL, ADB, IFC, World Bank, etc.).This is an on-site role in Chennai requiring close coordination with technical teams, field staff, project stakeholders, and government departments.Key Responsibilities1. ESIA & Environmental StudiesLead and prepare full-scaleEnvironmental and Social Impact Assessments (ESIA)including baseline studies, scoping, public consultations, stakeholder engagement, impact analysis, mitigation planning, and ESMP/EMP documentation.Conductsite assessments, environmental screening, and risk evaluationsas per MoEFCC, IFC, KfW, and World Bank standards.PrepareEnvironmental Monitoring Plans (EMoP) , Climate Risk Assessments (CRA), cumulative impact assessments, hydrological/biophysical studies, and social safeguard analyses.2. DPR Preparation & Civil Engineering ComponentsPrepareDetailed Project Reports (DPRs)for lake restoration, waterbody rejuvenation, stormwater drains, flood mitigation works, eco-restoration, watershed development, and other urban environmental projects.Work alongside civil, structural, GIS, and hydrology teams to ensure engineering designs are environmentally compliant and aligned with site conditions.Review and recommendcivil engineering componentssuch as:Bund strengtheningRevetment protectionStormwater drainsToe walls, kerb walls, gabion wallsEmbankment improvementWalkways and public infrastructureIntegrate engineering and environmental components into unified DPR chapters with technical clarity.3. Climate Resilience & Adaptation PlanningPrepareClimate Resilience Reports , vulnerability assessments, hazard mapping, and adaptation frameworks using climate data, GIS inputs, and risk modeling outputs.Suggest climate-proofing strategies tailored to funding guidelines (KfW, TNUIFSL, ADB).Developlow-carbon, resilient infrastructure plansand long-term monitoring protocols.4. Nature-Based Solutions (NBS)Suggest and designNBS interventionssuch as:Wetland revivalBio-engineered slopesPermeable pavementsGeotextile lining + turfFloating wetlandsRiparian buffer zonesUrban biodiversity enhancementsEnsure all proposals align withinternational funding agency standardsand climate-resilient urban infrastructure frameworks.5. Technical Reporting & Stakeholder EngagementDraft and finalize technical reports, ESIA chapters, DPR volumes, EMPs, CRAs, and monitoring frameworks.Present findings to funding agencies, municipal corporations, government bodies, and community groups.Conduct field visits, data collection, socio-environmental surveys, and coordination with interdisciplinary teams.Required QualificationsMaster’s Degree or Doctorate inEnvironmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Sustainability, Climate Science , or related field.Minimum3–8 years of experiencein ESIA, DPR preparation, and climate resilience work (flexible based on seniority).Hands-on experience withcivil engineering componentsof environmental projects.Familiarity withNature-Based Solutions (NBS)and international donor-driven environmental frameworks.Strong technical writing skills and experience preparing multi-volume environmental reports.Ability to work both independently and in multidisciplinary teams.Additional Preferred SkillsKnowledge of hydrology, watershed management, or GIS is an added advantage.Experience working withTNUIFSL, KfW, ADB, World Bank, or IFCfunded projects.Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.Work LocationSeraphic Global Private LimitedNo. 1974, 1st Street, 1st Sector, KK Nagar, Chennai – How to ApplyInterested male and female candidates (Chennai-based only)can share their resume ator WhatsAppwith the subject:“Application for Sales Executive – Civil & Interiors (Chennai)”
