Shell Recharge Solutions is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer We are excited to find a highly engaged engineer who is obsessed with technology that wants to be a part of a “world class” DevOps team. Shell Recharge Solutions DevOps engineers must possess an "automation first" mindset, with a relentless focus on documentation, quality, scalability, and reliability using Infrastructure as Code tools. This position will be part of a great team that is developing exciting products and solutions and playing a key part in driving forward the electrification of transportation. What you’ll do: Develop and maintain observability products, build tools and automation to eliminate manual touch, and respond to system failures and outages. Leverage AIOps platforms to improve anomaly detection, automate runbooks, and meet MTTD & MTTR goals. Collaborate with development teams and drive reliability/availability improvements. Leverage container technologies like Kubernetes and Docker to enhance system reliability and efficiency. Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues, ensuring system availability and performance. Write clear technical documentation and communicate complex issues effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Manage network technologies, including DNS, Load Balancing, TCP/IP, HTTP, and tools like curl and OpenSSL to ensure seamless connectivity. Continuously improve system performance, security, and cost efficiency through proactive monitoring and optimizations. Proficiency with source control, continuous integration, and testing pipelines. Maintain HA, Failover and disaster recovery process for production systems. Lead Cloud capacity planning and cost optimization efforts. What We’re Looking For: Basic Qualifications Over 7 years of relevant experience working as a DevOps Engineer, with a strong foundation in cloud infrastructure and operational optimization. Proficient in major cloud platforms such as, AWS,, with additional expertise in Bare-metal environments onsidered an added advantage. Solid understanding of cloud platforms (AWS) and AWS native services (EKS, EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda etc). Extensive experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining highly scalable systems , ensuring reliable and efficient system operations even under significant load. Expert in developing CI/CD pipelines, containerization technologies, particularly Kubernetes, and other orchestration tools to streamline development workflows and improve deployment efficiency. Demonstrated capability in securing cloud infrastructures against external threats, applying industry best practices for cloud security and compliance. Skilled in setting up and managing cloud monitoring solutions , ensuring continuous monitoring and improvement of system performance and reliability. Highly adept at debugging and resolving infrastructure issues, as well as optimizing resource utilization, educing unnecessary overheads, and improving overall system efficiency. Relevant certifications (AWS, Kubernetes, etc) are a plus Note: This role involves managing infrastructure for a global platform operating in over ten countries, requiring effective communication across regions. Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with availability and flexibility to resolve blocking issues, are essential to support On-call Engineers and L1 support teams.
