What's in it for you: Permanent full time role $100k + super 38hr week Nowergup location with visits to East Perth About the Role The HSEQ Advisor is responsible for supporting and promoting a strong health, safety, environment, and quality culture across all operations. This role provides practical advice, drives compliance with relevant legislation and company standards, and ensures risks are effectively identified, evaluated, and controlled. Working closely with managers, supervisors, and site personnel, the HSEQ Advisor fosters continuous improvement in workplace safety and performance. Key Responsibilities Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) Provide practical WHS advice to management and employees to improve safety culture. Develop, implement, and maintain WHS systems, procedures, and plans aligned with legislation and company policies. Support the use of WHS software systems (e.g. Intelex) and deliver relevant training. Assist with risk assessments, incident investigations (ICAM), and corrective actions. Rail Safety Provide expert advice on rail safety risks and compliance with the Rail Safety Act and Regulations. Assist in developing systems to identify and manage rail safety hazards SFAIRP (so far as is reasonably practicable). Participate in investigations and reporting using ICAM methodology. Compile and analyse rail safety data to identify trends and areas for improvement. Environmental Support the implementation of environmental plans and procedures. Provide advice to management on environmental risks and compliance obligations. Conduct environmental training and assist in developing environmental management systems. Promote sustainable practices and environmental awareness on site. Promote accountability and awareness of WHS responsibilities across the workforce. Maintain WHS risk registers and ensure timely resolution of hazards and incidents. Quality Conduct internal and supplier audits covering Quality, WHS, Rail Safety, and Environment. Assist with maintaining ISO certifications, accreditations, and document control systems. Support corrective and preventative action processes. Monitor and report on quality trends and assist in continuous improvement initiatives. Stakeholder Engagement Liaise with contractors and subcontractors to ensure compliance with HSEQ requirements. Provide on-site support and guidance to supervisors and teams on HSEQ matters. Maintain accurate HSEQ records, reports, and filing systems. Assist with injury management and workers’ compensation administration. Prepare monthly HSEQ reports and updates for management and toolbox meetings. Rail Industry Worker (RIW) and Medical Compliance Manage and maintain the RIW system and employee rail safety medicals. Coordinate medical and fitness-for-work assessments. Ensure confidentiality and compliance with data privacy obligations. Safety Culture Identify and manage hazards through proactive engagement with stakeholders. Support the “Zero Harm” culture and compliance with all relevant safety laws and policies. Promote safe work practices, PPE compliance, and incident reporting. Administration Maintain accurate HSEQ records, reports, and filing systems. Assist with injury management and workers’ compensation administration. Prepare monthly HSEQ reports and updates for management and toolbox meetings. Manage and maintain the RIW system and employee rail safety medicals. Coordinate medical and fitness-for-work assessments. Ensure confidentiality and compliance with data privacy obligations. Safety Culture Identify and manage hazards through proactive engagement with stakeholders. Support the “Zero Harm” culture and compliance with all relevant safety laws and policies. Promote safe work practices, PPE compliance, and incident reporting. Skills and Experience Proven experience in an HSEQ role, ideally within rail, infrastructure, or transport. Sound understanding of WHS, Rail Safety, Environmental, and Quality systems. Knowledge of relevant legislation, standards, and codes of practice. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Analytical ability to interpret technical and compliance information. Proficiency in MS Office and HSEQ software systems. Valid C-Class Driver’s Licence and current Rail Safety Medical. Qualifications Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (mandatory). Internal Auditor (HSEQ Systems) certification. ICAM Investigation certification (desirable). Why Join Us?
