About the Role

We are seeking a full-time Brand Strategist to join our team for a six-month confidential destination branding assignment. The strategist will act as an extension of our agency, representing us directly with the client and working in close partnership with our strategists and designers.

This role requires someone who can bring clarity, creativity, and cultural intelligence to complex challenges—shaping a brand's positioning, nomenclature, and communications strategy that will define how the world perceives a destination.

Key Responsibilities

  • Represent our agency with professionalism and authority, building trust with client stakeholders.
  • Develop brand positioning, nomenclature systems, and communications strategy and brand architecture for the destination brand.
  • Conduct and synthesize cultural, consumer, and competitive research to uncover unique insights.
  • Translate insights into strategic frameworks, narratives, and briefs that guide creative and design execution.
  • Work closely with fellow strategists and designers to ensure seamless alignment between strategy and creative expression.
  • Partner with client teams through presentations, and strategic conversations—presenting recommendations with clarity and persuasion.
  • Safeguard strategic coherence across identity, communications, digital, and experiential touchpoints, maintaining strict confidentiality.
  • Act as a strategic thought partner, balancing high-level vision with detail-oriented execution.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • 6–10 years' experience in brand strategy, communications planning, or destination/place branding.
  • Proven expertise in positioning, messaging, and nomenclature.
  • Strong storytelling, research, and presentation skills.
  • Confident in client-facing roles, with the ability to represent an agency with credibility.
  • Experienced in handling confidential, high-stakes projects.
  • Sensitive to Mumbai culture.
  • Available full-time for the 6-month contract duration.
