Job Title: Human Resources (HR) Generalist Manager

A food manufacturing start-up engaged in D2C, E-commerce, Restaurants and Factory operations revolutionizing the restaurant industry with middle eastern delicacies and innovative concepts. We are seeking a passionate and result-oriented HR Generalist to join this growing team. You will play a pivotal role in building a strong company culture, attracting top talent, and ensuring smooth HR operations for the people.
Responsibilities
I.               HR Operations:
Manage the full life cycle of employees, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, compensation & benefits administration, and employee relations.
Develop and implement HR policies and procedures aligned with company goals and legal compliance.
Maintain accurate and confidential employee records in HRMS.
Oversee payroll processing and ensure timely and accurate payment.
II.             Process Automation:
Identify opportunities for automation in HR processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Implement technology solutions (e.g., applicant tracking systems, performance management software) to streamline workflows.
Train staff on new HR technology and ensure its effective utilization.
III.            Data Management:
Collect, analyze, and report on HR data to gain insights into workforce trends and identify areas for improvement.
Utilize data to support strategic HR decision-making (e.g., talent acquisition, compensation planning).
Ensure data security and compliance with relevant regulations.
IV.           Benchmarking:
Conduct market research and competitor analysis to benchmark HR practices and identify best practices.
Utilize industry data to compare company metrics such as employee turnover, engagement, and compensation.
Recommend adjustments to HR policies and practices to enhance competitiveness and employee satisfaction.
V.             Process Improvement:
Continuously review and improve HR processes to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and user experience.
Develop and implement strategies to streamline workflows and minimize redundancy.
Collaborate with departmental leaders to ensure HR processes support operational needs.
VI.           Projects:
Lead and manage HR-related projects such as implementing new HR systems, developing talent management programs, and conducting employee surveys.
Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets, and track progress towards completion.
Communicate project goals, scope, and outcomes to relevant stakeholders.
VII.          HR Technologies:
Stay current on emerging HR technologies and evaluate their potential to improve HR functions.
Participate in the selection and implementation of new HR technology solutions.
Work with IT to ensure seamless integration of HR technology with existing systems.
VIII.        Karnataka Labour Laws
Exposure to applicable labour laws including the state (Karnataka) labour laws including PF, ESIC, Karnataka Shops & Commercial Establishments Act, Factories Act, Fire License, Pollution License, Gratuity, FSSAI etc.
Well versed with coordinating with labour departments and consultants.
Qualifications
Master's degree in Human Resources Management.
5 – 6 years of experience in a generalist HR role, preferably in a fast-paced startup environment.
Strong understanding of HR principles and practices, including recruitment, onboarding, compensation & benefits, and employee relations.
Proficient in HR technology solutions, including applicant tracking systems and HRIS.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to utilize data to drive HR decisions.
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Passion for building a positive and supportive work environment.
Experience with HR technology solutions.
Knowledge of employment law.
